2016 United Way Campaign Leadership Breakfast

At our annual Leadership Breakfast we had hot coffee, a delicious spread of breakfast favorites, and some “had-to-be-there” moments shared among our United Way advocates. While attendees enjoyed their complimentary breakfast, we heard from President Hitt and Mr. Merck who spoke about the campaign and the benefits of supporting our community.

Sasha Houseman from Second Harvest Food Bank shared information about Second Harvest Food Bank’s impact on individuals in need.  Judy, an individual who has been helped by Second Harvest and other charites, shared her personal journey. As if Judy’s heartfelt story wasn’t enough to make the event memorable, Richard Sloane energized the audience with a giveaway prize of breakfast beer and other antics that inspired roaring laughter.  His inspiring message was that UCF is going downtown – and our support of and partnership with our community is important more than it ever has been.

Advocates even walked away with little chocolate candies with their very own photo printed on the wrapper – and that definitely “wrapped” up the breakfast.

Stay tuned for information about the 2017 Leadership Breakfast!
