We have not provided you with any goods or services in exchange for this pledge. No professional solicitors were hired to raise these funds. The expenses associated with processing donor designated pledges are recovered by the United Way through a 15% campaign fee applied to donations that are designated to a charity. Tax receipts, where required, will be mailed the January following completion of payments. For payroll deduction gifts your year-end pay stub & a copy of your pledge card are required for tax purposes. A copy of the United Way’s official registration (CH214) and financial information may be obtained from the division of consumer services by calling toll-free (800-435-7352) within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval, or recommendation by the state. Donor data may be subject to public records requests. A member of the UCF staff will have access to donor information for campaign management purposes and donor records may subject to public records requests.
